Wonderful stay at Riad Viva We've booked Riad Viva for 4 nights and it was awesome. Don't be scared when you arrive because that Riad isn't reachable by car, so you have to walk the last 300m through small sidestreets. When the door opened we were really surprised, it's like a little paradise. From the first second it felt like home for us, mainly because of the very welcoming employees. After a relaxing check in with a cup of tea they showed us the room and it really was like the pictures show you. At the roof terrace you can enjoy a really good breakfast. Everything was well organized and you can also have a great hammam and massage at Riad Diana, which is a partner Riad. All in all we would like to thank the Riad Viva stuff again, it was an incredible stay

The welcoming staff made us feel at home, and the delicious tagine prepared by Ameena was a culinary highlight of our stay. The rooftop terrace provided a perfect escape from the bustling city below.

We booked the Narcisse Superior Double room which was very pretty, comfortable and immaculately clean. The bathroom had a good shower, hairdryer, shampoo etc and bathrobes. This is a really lovely little Riad a short walk from the busy main square. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was my husbands birthday on the day we arrived and they very sweetly gave him a bunch of roses and greeted us with delicious mint tea. We had pre booked an evening meal which we had on the lovely rooftop terrace and again they had made a special effort to make his birthday special with roses on the table and even a cake. The lamb tagine was delicious, the best we had in Marrakesh! The hotel had arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport, booked an excursion for us and arranged the taxi back to the airport. We had a very pleasant stay at the Riad Viva and would recommend to anyone on a break to Marrakesh.

We specifically chose this Riad for its lovely traditional building and it didn't disappoint. We were met by taxi from the station and taken effortlessly to the Riad where we were taken care of by the welcoming staff. We chose the Suite Orchidee on the first floor which was spacious and comfortable. It had TV (limited English channels) and air conditioning which was needed even in November. A good breakfast was taken on the roof terrace when the weather was fine and we can certainly recomend booking an evening meal as this too was delicious. The wine was good and a very reasonable price. The Riad organised a guide for us for our first full day and she was excellent, taking us to a few historical places then the Souk. The location is good too as it is only just inside the Medina and fairly easy to find and close to the centre of town. We liked the peaceful roof terrace to come back to and unwind and read. Lighting in Moroccan rooms is always dark so reading in the room is sometime difficult! The Riad itself has beautiful furnishings and a lovely central courtyard with fountain.
We booked this Riad months ago but were disappointed to find out on arrival that on our third and last night we were to be moved to their sister Riad Diana because the Riad had been booked by a whole group. We had had previous e-mail contact with the Riad and at no time was this mentioned. We were flexible with dates and could have changed them to suit us. Having said this we were offered the last night free of charge and the move was made smoothly and the room in the Diana of a similar size. However we still had to pack our things early and even though the staff at the Diana were lovely and I don't want to criticise them at all, this Riad was not as nice a building as the Viva and not what I had booked to celebrate my 60th birthday.

Friendly and helpful staff. A beautiful building preserving all the features of the traditional riad. Well placed off busy roads, so quiet at night, but only 15 minutes walk from the central square (which is anything but quiet). Very nice room, spotlessly cleaned every day. Able to eat on the rooftop if you wish.

Lovely little and incredibly beautiful place, I thoroughly enjoyed hospitable personnel.
I booked it many times and recommend. The hotel was a superb base for enjoying a really safe area, close to the Jemaa el-Fna, the main attractions such Jemaa el Fna place and which was nice. I got the deluxe triple room, it was huge and beautifully decorated. Included a safe, central heating and an iron, and the bed was extremely comfy. The location was beautiful, a 10-15 minute walk from a main square.

We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the riad, especially the fantastic terrace where we relaxed after exploring. The staff, particularly Redouan and Mariam, were always there with mint tea and tips. The food during breakfast was really good, with a new selection every day.
My wife says that more kids' amenities would be great.

Friendly Staff, trying everything to make you feel comfortable. We had a hearty welcome with tea. Good breakfast. Airport transfer was free of charge (from and to the airport). Nice and sunny roofterrace with a small pool. Nice rooms. Close (only 10 min. Walk) to the Jemaa El Fna square.
There was a leak near the wall in the Rose suite and the water in the bathroom in the Freesia deluxe room didn´t run very fast.

Very friendly and welcoming. Always felt that we could ask for assistance from ordering a trip to the ouriki valley to getting a taxi on the main street. i would recommend to get the free taxi service they offer from the airport to the riad as it is tucked away and you would find it difficult to find without assistance. a nice short walk to Jemaa el Fna which is buzzing day and night, can become quite mid afternoon when reaching high temperatures.
